What federal rules require on interstate moves

For interstate household goods moves, FMCSA rules require movers to give customers a written estimate, an order for service, a Bill of Lading, the "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move" booklet (or a link to it) and information about the mover's dispute settlement (arbitration) program. Local moves follow state rules, which vary.
